Entry from: Seldovia, United States Entry Title: "Seldovia - a perfect place to do nothing" Entry: "I did a bit of checking and found out we could take the touring ferry to Seldovia on one day and come back on the same boat the next day. That got us there and back and also took us to Gull Island and through Eldred Passage on the way. We had one hour to get packed and walk to the harbor which we made easily. The day is sunny and the wind has gone down. The locals at the ferry terminal and at the coffee shop are so excited, some saying it's the first day of sunshine they have had since May. I would be excited too! The ferry ride was relaxing and interesting, stopping to see many kinds of sea birds and sea otters. We sat next to a 13-year-old from near Duluth, MN who visited with us whenever prompted. We also visited at length with two young gals from Switzerland. Their husbands were out halibut fishing for the day. I also met a lady from near here whose husband is from Watford City, ND. He was also out halibut fishing for the day. We arrived in Seldovia shortly after 1:00 and went for a short walk and to find the B&B that I had reserved. We found it on the historic boardwalk and yes, it was historic....being the oldest B&B in Seldovia. It was quaint in it's own way and the retired art teacher that runs ...
